About 25 members of the ‘Thursday Prayer Fellowship,’ which was an interdenominational revival group in existence since 1974, decided on 12th May, 1989 to form a Pentecostal congregation according per the leading of the Holy Spirit. This congregation was later named “Full Gospel Church, Kuwait.” The first gather took place at Pr. Mammen Abraham’s house in Hasawi and weekly meetings were later moved to the National Evangelical Church of Kuwait (NECK). Pastor P. J. Samuel (Sam Uncle) ministered from 1989 till Mar 2016.
Now Pastor Aju Jacob is ministering.
The congregation is now under The Indian Pentecostal Church of God denomination in India. It has its headquarters at Kumbanad, Kerala, and is currently the largest Pentecostal church network in India.
The following persons have helped us in the past in the growth of the church and have since left Kuwait to India and continue in the work of the Lord.

We are a church that is committed to Christ and His word. The mission of the Pentecostal Maranatha Gospel Church, Sharjah is to continually promote Faith in God, encourage fellowship among believers and promote Love in our community in an effort to reach the world for our precious Lord Jesus Christ, whose return to rapture His church is so imminent. We pledge our lives to Christ and covenant with each other to demonstrate his spirit through Worship, witnessing, and ministry to the needs of the people of this and the community. We strive to provide opportunities for service, outreach and improvement in our community as well as in the global community.
Establish and raise up a strong local church that will challenge, penetrate, influence, and impact the people we deal with on a day to day basis with the good news of Jesus Christ, train people to be skillful in the word of God, and embrace who they are in Christ, reaching their fullest potential in him and therefore making a lasting difference in lives of others. To present the word of God as the only relevant and practical guide that, when followed enhances marriage, family relationships, careers, and every facet of life. To build a community of Loving, forgiving, and caring believers who share their lives with each other and who are committed to serving God by serving others. To lead a holy life in the hope of the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
